History of the “Globe Theatres”

The globe theatre is a newly rebuilt historical theatre in Schwäbisch Hall, a very pretty and picturesque-town in the south of Germany .
The original Globe Theatre is in London . It was built in 1576.
The construction of the Globe theatre in Schwäbisch Hall started in autumn 1998 and it was finished in April 2000.


The theatre in Schwäbisch Hall is however a bit smaller than the one in London but it also consists of three different stages. It was basically financed by private funds.
The first Shakespearean play you could see there was a Midsummernight's Dream. Other plays they showed were for example Much ado about nothing and Richard 3 rd.
The play we saw was Twelfth Night and it was fantastic.
